Colts Then and Now – Patrick Turcotte

at Turcotte’s hockey prowess was honed at an early age. As far back as a travelling
Pteam Atom player, Turcotte’s skills were evident to his coaches and opponents.

Playing through the Seaway Valley Rapids system, Turcotte was scouted by Junior A
as well as Major Junior A programs from across Ontario.

Turcotte, a Cornwall native, spent parts of four seasons playing with his hometown
Colts, including being a member of the 2001 team that was one goal away from

advancing to the RBC Cup! He averaged just under a point a game in the CJHL
(now CCHL).

Turcotte also spent parts of two seasons in the OHL with the Brampton Battalion
and Belleville Bulls.

After attending and playing hockey at the University of Prince Edward Island,

Turcotte eventually returned to Cornwall and used his experience from his own
career to begin coaching at the Ontario Hockey Academy. He’s since graduated
to Boys’ Hockey Director but still coaches Bantam age players with the goal of Photo Submitted
