Vaulting and Beyond
Owen Tyo is no stranger to athletic dedication,
having pursued multiple sports over the years
with passion and determination. A versatile
athlete, Owen has been involved in pole
vaulting, ski racing, volleyball, basketball,
golf, and soccer — some for over a decade.
“I’ve been pole vaulting for four years now,”
Owen shares. “What I love most about pole
vaulting is that it’s such a technical sport. I’ve
worked really hard to perfect my form, and
it’s definitely been a highlight of my high school years. I’ve learned so much
from my coach, Rory Blackadder.”
His athletic resume is impressive: fourteen years in ski racing and soccer,
