MVP of the Month
Jayce Cook-Delormier
Age: 10 Grade: 5
Hometown: Akwesasne
School: St. Regis Mohawk School
Jayce Cook-Delormier was nominated for the October
MVP spot by Coach Scott McMaster for his outstanding
play with the Celtics Novice team.
Jayce is a goalie in both lacrosse and AA hockey. He has
been a hockey goalie for 6 years, and he only stepped
between the pipes in lacrosse two years ago. He is the
second child out of four. He works hard on and off the
floor, playing catch with his stepdad Charlie and his
siblings; that’s why his passes in the game are always on point.
His hobbies are his sports. He’s very serious when it come to game time and wants
everyone to focus on the game. His mom, Kristin Cook, believes what makes him an
outstanding athlete is the dedication he has for his team. Kristin says he has fast reflexes
and a positive attitude on the floor every game he plays, and even when he’s fuming
during a bad game, he always stays cool and focuses.
