Meet our Athletes
Leo Bissonnette
Age: 9 (turning 10 in August)
Hometown: South Glengarry

Sports Energy’s Game On in South Glengarry
featured athlete for June is a talented young man
who has been playing soccer since he was four and
hockey since he was six.
“I love playing sports,” Leo Bissonnette explains,
“because they’re fun and help me stay active. I enjoy
being part of a team and making new friends. My
goal is to keep getting better and one day play at a
high level. In hockey, I’ve played various positions, but I always give my best effort on
the ice. In soccer, I play hard and love the action on the field.”
Leo’s extensive list of accomplishments includes 2024 MVP of his Tier U9 hockey team;
2025 Most Improved Player on his Rep B U11 hockey team; 2025 Playoff Champions
and Tournament Winners with his U11 hockey team; 2023 MVP of his Char-Lan soccer
team, and 2024 Soccer Tournament Champion with his old Blazers team.
“In the short and long term,” Leo says,” I want to become a chef and open my own
restaurant. Cooking is something I really enjoy, and I especially love baking as it makes
people happy. I’m also excited to join the Glengarry Hearts for the 2025 soccer season. I
can’t wait to catch a lot of fish this summer at my campsite!”
